The ideal candidate should be well-versed in electronic medical record systems (eMAR charts), possess tracheostomy training, and have relevant experience in neurology would be preferred. Proficiency in procedures such as phlebotomy, catheterization, wound management and enteral feeding is also preferable

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
  • Utilize eMAR charts to accurately document patient information and ensure timely and precise medication administration.
  • Provide specialized care to patients with tracheostomies, demonstrating expertise in tracheostomy care and management.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures, catheterization, and enteral feeding as required.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to create and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and contribute to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with a valid license and registration.
  • Proven experience in neurology nursing, would be beneficial
  • Tracheostomy training and expertise in tracheostomy care.
  • Familiarity with eMAR charts and proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
  • Competence in performing phlebotomy, catheterization, and enteral feeding.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
